A vehicle belonging to the Emfuleni Local Municipality’s Meter Reading & Billing Services caught fire near the gate of Vaal University for Technology (VUT) in Andries Potgieter Boulevard, Vanderbijlpark, on Friday. Although Emfuleni fire brigade was quickly on the scene to extinguish the flames, the vehicle burned out completely. As far as could be determined, no one was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Vaal Auto Craft removed the wreckage from the scene after the fire department’s work was completed and the road could be opened again for traffic.
