What started as a taxi strike in Vereeniging early this morning, March 20, has now expanded to Vanderbijlpark, Sebokeng and Orange Farm.
All the entrances to the Vereeniging business area were blocked by taxis and trucks from early this morning.
Traffic is apparently piling up on many Vaal roads and according to rumours even intersections on Barrage Road as far as the so-called “Crossing of Death” are blocked off.
Motorists are advised to be very careful when going on the roads.
