Unknown man found deceased on railway line

The De Deur Police need the public’s assistance in identifying a man who was found deceased in the middle of a railway line near the Lakeside Railway station.
According to Sergeant Dlamini, who found the body at about 06:30 on Sunday, 24 March 2019, the African male was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket and white Puma sneakers. His right leg and arm were amputated. The unknown man was certified dead by Gauteng Emergency Medical Service on the scene.
The Police is unable to locate the deceased’s family. An inquest docket has been opened by De Deur SAPS and an investigation is underway. The SAPS appeals to members of the community to assist the police in locating the family.
