
Emfuleni Local Municipality will on Tuesday (9th April 2019) commence a series of IDP (Integrated Development Plan) meetings aimed at interacting with residents on service delivery challenges and successes. Executive Mayor Councillor Gift Moerane will be leading the meetings to share progress made in improving service delivery in the municipality. He will be accompanied to the meetings by Members of the Mayoral Committee, Ward Councillors and the Senior Management Team (SMT) of the municipality.
All stakeholders of the municipality, including ward committees, civil society organisations, businesses formations and residents are invited to attend the meetings to interact with the municipality and make their contributions to the IDP.
Among other important service delivery issues, Councillor Moerane will be sharing progress with residents on the following:
• Curbing sewer spillages in the municipality,
• Ending power outages,
• Eradicating potholes,
• Improving waste collection,
• Funding from the DBSA and MIG for key infrastructure projects, including cleaning and refurbishing the Sebokeng, Rietspruit and Leeuwkuil Waste Water Treatment Works
