Rand Water’s update regarding water situation: B11 Pipeline Shutdown
Rand Water sent this media update regarding the water situation in the Vaal at 09:00 today (25 June 2019)
The work on the B11 Pipeline Shutdown is progressing as per schedule. The technical teams worked throughout the night and achieved the set project milestones. The work is on target.
The Rand Water network is operational and stable and all reservoirs are meeting demand.
We have received no reports from our municipal customers of interruptions to the service due to the work being done during the shutdown.
The Rand Water ‘War Room’ that has been established to oversee the shutdown is continuously monitoring the network.
Rand Water requests consumers to continue using water sparingly.
