Three critical following bus vs car crash

Gauteng.- At 14:35 yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R573 in the direction of Mpumalanga in Derdepoort, Pretoria.

Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle and a bus were involved in a collision.

Paramedics assessed the scene and found three females, one being a minor had sustained serious injuries.

The Fire and Rescue Services had to use hydraulic tools to extricate all three patients while being stabilised by Advanced life support paramedics.

Due to the seriousness of two of the patients, two medical helicopter air ambulances were activated to airlift the patients to hospital.
