EVATON.- The death of an Evaton Police Station employee has come as a shock for colleagues, family and loved ones.
48-year-old Moeketsi Hlalele, who was affectionately known as ‘Max’, was originally from Bothaville in the Free State. He was stabbed to death in Small Farms, Evaton on Friday evening. Hlalele worked at the Evaton Police Station as an Administration Clerk.
Police Spokesperson, Captain Aubrey Moopeloa, said that circumstances leading to the death of Hlalele form part of the details into the investigation of the case and that a 39-year-old suspect has been arrested and is facing murder charges.
“The motive for murder is unknown at this stage, police are investigating the murder.
“A 39-year- old suspect from Small Farms, Evaton has been arrested and is facing a charge of murder. He will appear soon before Sebokeng Magistrate Court.”
At the time of going to print, Hlalele’s funeral arrangements were underway.
