Help police find family of the deceased

His body was found at the scene of a shack that burned down.

The local police are looking for the family of a man who was killed in a shack fire. According to Vanderbijlpark SAPS a body of a 36-year-old man was found at the scene of a shack that burned down. Police spokesperson, Sgt Gertrude Makhale, said in a statement that police found Mr. Plaatjie Mokgeseng’s body after they were called to the scene at around 01:30 on Monday, August 17. Makhale said a neighbour alleged that Mokgeseng went to his shack to take his chair to come and sit with them, but they did not suspect anything when he did not return as he was under the influence and could not walk properly. However, later that night his shack caught fire and while neighbours tried to extinguish the fire they discovered his body. Paramedics and police were called and Mokgeseng was declared dead on the scene. According to Makhale, he was residing alone in the Marikana squatter camp Muvhango and is known as “Moruti” in the area. His birthday is on the 28th of June 1984. Makhale said because he was staying alone no foul play is suspected.
