The people in the photos can assist the police with a rape investigation. The incident happened on Saturday 2019-12-07 at about 16:30. It is alleged that the victim was coming from work, together with her friend, when they hiked for a taxi.

On arrival in Vereeniging, the friend got off and the victim then asked the driver of the taxi if he was going to Soweto.

The driver then drove in the direction of De-Deur. On arrival at an open veld, the driver forced the woman out of the taxi by stabbing her with a screwdriver and beating her with an open hand. He then ordered the victim to undress and proceeded to rape her and then left her there. The victim was later assisted by a passer-by.
