The dedication and diligent work of Trio Task Team member, Detective Sergeant Thulo recently paid off. The reward came when a suspect in a murder case was successfully convicted. Vusi Makua, a 36-year-old male who raped and murdered his girlfriend in Small Farms was sentenced to life for rape, ten years for murder and three years for theft at the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court recently. Evaton Police Spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi, said that Makua raped and killed his girlfriend, Modiehi Mlangeni, in Small Farms, Evaton and was arrested after a few months after Detective Sergeant Thulo left no stone unturned.
Makua was sentenced on September 11.
