64-year-old man killed during house robbery in Vanderbijlpark

Makhale says the two men killed a man believed to be the owner of the house before leaving the house.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The police in Vanderbijlpark are on a hunt for two suspects who brutally killed a 64-year-old man at his home in CW4 during a house robbery.

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, the incident happened  in the early hours of  Saturday morning.

Makhale says, “It is alleged that the family was asleep when two unknown suspects entered the house, wearing balaclavas. The men tied up the family subsequently robbing them of their cell phones, laptop and TV.”

Makhale says the two men killed a man believed to be the owner of the house before leaving the house.

“At this stage the Police are asking for assistance from the community in order to get to the bottom of this gruesome murder. Anyone who has seen anything suspicious or has information about this incident is urged to come forward.”
