Police launch inquest after two boys die of alleged poisoning

Police spokesperson Constable Shaan Motsapi says the two deceased were rushed to Stretford clinic where they were declared dead on arrival.

ORANGE FARM. – The police in Orange Farm have launched an inquest into the death of two young boys who died last week.

It is reported that the two aged 7and 8 consumed yogurt that is believed to be poisonous.

Police spokesperson Constable Shaan Motsapi says the two deceased were rushed to Stretford clinic where they were declared dead on arrival.

“Police were summoned to Stretford clinic and on arrival, two lifeless bodies were identified. It is alleged that the children ate a yogurt that is suspected to be poisonous and as a results started getting sick.”

Motsapi said investigations are ongoing.
