SEDIBENG.- The Heilbron police are investigating a case of rape after a 28-year-old woman alleged that she was raped by her boyfriend’s friend in the early hours of Monday, October 19.

It is alleged that at about 01:30, the victim woke up while in bed with her boyfriend to use the toilet and as she reached the toilet, she allegedly encountered her boyfriend’s friend, known to her, and the suspect is alleged to have instructed her not to make noise, dragged her, covered her mouth and raped her.

The suspect allegedly instructed the victim to wash herself.

Police said that after the incident, the suspect allegedly instructed the victim to wash herself.

“The victim was allegedly still scared after the incident, and the suspect reportedly accompanied her to her place of residence. Only after the suspect had left did the victim report the matter at Heilbron Police Station.”

The suspect is still at large.

Members of the Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC) attended the scene and retrieved a cloth with which the suspect allegedly wiped himself.

Police said that the victim was interviewed in the Victim Friendly Room (VFR) and taken to a local hospital for a medical examination.

The investigation continues, and the suspect is still at large.
