FF Plus shows it is not only for whites, as it goes to the township
"We have experienced, non-racist, and honourable people."
SEBOKENG. – Not everything is about being black or being white, as a matter of fact, not everything is about colour!
This was the clear message sent by Freedom Front Plus (FF+) Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Mayoral candidate, Cobus Cato, while speaking to party supporters gathered at the Zone 13 sports ground, next to the Technical School today, October 22.
Cato rejected the notion that the FF+ is a white-only party, stating that it is inclusive and represents everyone who follows its creed.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Cato said the party understands the concerns of South Africa’s minorities and is here to serve the people as requested.
He noted that they are for all and that people have joined because they share the same problems.
Cato emphasised that problems are not about colour.
“The people here have requested that we come and speak to them, and they have joined the party because we all have the same problems. Problems are not about colour, we all share the same problems,” Cato said.
Cato also promised to end contract employment at the Emfuleni Local Municipality and make employees permanent while also filling empty posts.
“We need change, it is time for change, the time is now!”
He credits the growing support of black people for the party to the shared conservative values that the FF+ has long held.
Speaking to those in attendance, Cato promised to, amongst other things, promptly address:
• Crime
• Sewerage issues
• Electricity
• Unemployment

“We will get bigger companies to invest here, because we have everything that can work for us to make things work,” said Cato, making an example with the Vaal River.
“After November 4, things must change, and they must change for the better,” he said.
Meanwhile, a new FF+ supporter and former ANC member, Joseph Motloung, told Sedibeng Ster that he was drawn to the FF+ because of its ideas, and the discipline shown by the current Minister of Correctional Services, Dr Pieter Groenewald.
“Look at the department that the party leads in government and you will see for yourself. I am from the ANC, but now I am here. The journey looks beautiful; we have experienced, non-racist, and honourable people who will take us somewhere. I believe in them,” Motloung said.
