Bishop Zondo faces charges of rape and defeating ends of justice

"Archbishop B.S Zondo is not an accountant ask us"

SEBOKENG. – The Rivers of Living Waters Ministries Church leader, Archbishop Stephen Bafana Zondo briefly appeared at Sebokeng Magistrates Court today, Friday 28 May. The 55-year-old man of cloth is charged with rape and defeating the ends of justice. While the court case was in session, dozens of his congregants who came in their numbers to support their spiritual father were singing outside. The congregants travelled from as far as North West, Limpopo and Free State and were seen praying in tounges. The excitement gained momentum immediately when Zondo was seen driving past under heavily security. The court was dominated by mostly women holding placards. Some of the placards read: “Archbishop B.Z Zondo is not an account ask us” Most of the cases that Zondo is charged with were apparently reported from as early as 2013 from victims staying in Evaton, Vereeniging and Robertsham in Johannesburg. The matter has been postponed to Pretoria High Court on 23 August.
