Prisoners believe vaccination is ‘a mark of a beast’

Free State and Northern Cape Correctional Service Spokesperson, Josia Ramokoena said that inmates have a right to refuse the vaccine.

VEREENIGING. The Groenpunt Correctional Services inmates who refused the Covid-19 vaccination, recently argued that the vaccine was disguised for the mark of the beast, 666, Satanism.

The belief amongst the prisoners is that the mark will ultimately enable governments to monitor and track those who accept it. Some of the many alleged negative aspects the prisoners mentioned, include that the vaccination causes blood clots.

One inmate, Hector Mdletye (46), a traditional healer, whose wife is a police officer will not be taking the vaccination. Mdletye, from Emdeni in Soweto, said that his wife also refused to take the vaccine.

Another inmate, Thabo Ralejoe (38) said that he finds nothing wrong in taking the pandemic jab. Free State and Northern Cape Correctional Service Spokesperson, Josia Ramokoena said that inmates have a right to refuse the vaccine.

Speaking on Tuesday July at the Groenpunt Correctional Center Ramokoena said that at least 90% of the inmates have taken the vaccination. “We are very happy to see at least 90% inmates taking their jab.”
