Super League resumed over the weekend

In the Sebokeng Stream, it is not yet clear who will be crowned the champions.

SEDIBENG.- The Emfuleni Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League resumed over the weekend.
This is with the aim to finish the remaining games of the season.

SAFA had suspended all football activities after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the Level 3 lockdown. With the promotion Play-offs around the corner, football was given a green light to resume and it was action galore all over Sedibeng with the Super League teams battling it out at the various venues over the weekend.

The four streams, namely, Evaton, Sebokeng, Boitshepiville l and Vanderbilpark must finish their league programme in three weeks’ time. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, ELFA Competitions Convener, Oupa Tladinyane said he expects all the streams to finish their games before the end of August. Tladinyane was confident that all the teams will finish on time to prepare for the Play-offs.

“I’m pushing for all the streams to complete their league programme in two or three-weeks’ time. I’m happy that some streams remain with two games, while others remain with three games,” said Tladinyane.

In Boitshepiville Stream, Mighty Killers, Vaal Manchester, Dinokeng, Golden Eagles, Vaal Manchester FC are the teams that are challenging for the league title, while in the Vanderbijlpark Stream, Athletico, Waya-Waya and Nale Academy are the teams that at the summit of the log. In the Evaton Stream, Morning Stars FC seem to be on the way to be crowned the league champions in the stream taking into the consideration the gap between them and other teams. In the Sebokeng Stream, it is not yet clear who will be crowned the champions.
