Mayor Maloka welcomes donation of masks from Embassy of Vietnam

Maloka: I warmly welcome the effort and contribution of Mr Hoang Van Loi, the Ambassador of Vietnam in ensuring that our schools are safe and learning and teaching continues.

VEREENIGING. – The Sedibeng District Municipality (SDM) Mayor Lerato Maloka last week welcomed a donation of about 200 000 3-ply masks from the Embassy of Vietnam in the fight against the spread of covid-19.

The donation will benefit about 10 schools in the region, a TVET college and two universities where these masks will be distributed.

Maloka together with the Ambassador of Vietnam, Hoang Van Loi were joined by Mayors of local municipalities, MMCs, delegates from local institutions of higher learning to distribute masks in various schools in Sedibeng region.

Maloka says “I warmly welcome the effort and contribution of Mr Hoang Van Loi, the Ambassador of Vietnam in ensuring that our schools are safe and learning and teaching continues.

“The wearing of mask remains one of the non-pharmaceutical interventions to protect ourselves, families and communities against the spread of Covid-19”.
