DENEYSVILLE.- A woman was killed and two others injured, including a three-year-old girl, when a light motor vehicle and truck collided on the R549 in Deneysville this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived at 09:00 and found a wrecked car in the emergency lane. A truck was parked in a field some distance away.

On closer inspection, medics found a woman lying inside the light motor vehicle. Unfortunately, the woman had already succumbed to her numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for her, and she was declared dead. A three-year-old girl from the light motor vehicle was assessed and found with moderate injuries, while the male truck driver sustained minor injuries.

The patients were treated and transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
