Soccer fans attended Soweto derby from outside stadium

The results were not a true reflection of the game as Kaizer Chiefs could  have buried Pirates 3-0, but their goal was ruled offside.

SEDIBENG.- There is so much to write about the Soweto derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, on and off the field, that took place on Saturday.

Firstly, Kaizer Chiefs once again claimed bragging rights when they beat Orlando Pirates 2-1. It was a great result for Amakhosi considering that it was their away game. Secondly, Kaizer Chiefs Captain Bernard Parker played his 30th derby and became Man Of The Match. He was presented with jersey No 30 that symbolizes the number of derbies he has in played since  joining Kaizer Chiefs. Thirdly, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fans witnessed this biggest derby in the calendar in the history of South African football outside the stadium. The fans mrched to the stadium demanding the return of fans to the stadium. Lastly, the results were not a true reflection of the game as Kaizer Chiefs could  have buried Pirates 3-0, but their goal was ruled offside. Pirates goal was a clear offside from the replay.
