Twins born on Palindrome date

The staff at the Vereeniging Mediclinic is beaming with pride after twin girls, Oatile and Reatile Letsae were born at the hospital on a Palindrome date 22-02-2022.

VEREENIGING.- Palindromes are words or sentences that maintain the same meaning whether you read them forward or reversed. It is said that another Palindrome date will happen in 30 years’ time.

The parents, Thandiwe Radebe and Thabiso Letsae from Qwaqwa, in a village called Mangaung said that they are very happy and excited about the birth of their two bundles of joy.

“Everything just points to the Sovereignty of God, from their conception, the journey of pregnancy and their birth.

“The date being considered special is a reminder of how intentional God has been about the twins coming into our lives. It was only fitting that they make a grand entrance.

“It’s so exciting, definitely something we won’t get used to anytime soon.”

Radebe explained that she and the twins had to stay at the hospital for four days after their birth.

“The experience was completely new and overwhelming at times. Initially, the doctor had said the date of birth would be on 01 March and everything was planned around that date.

“Things just took a turn a few days before the 22 and the twins had to be delivered sooner, on the most perfect day.” Speaking on how their birthdays will be celebrated, Radebe states that twins have to share a lot of things in their life.

“It’s our goal to never treat them as a ‘set’. We will have two birthday cakes, sing twice, Maybe even host two different parties with different groups of friends when they are older. Time seemed to stand still at the sound of your first cry as you entered the world. It was the most precious moment.

You changed our lives for the better and everything about you just points to God. “May the Lord give us the grace to teach you his ways, the wisdom to raise you to be who he has called you to be and the strength to create great opportunities for you.”

Radebe said that she received more than medical care from at Mediclinic Vereeniging.

“From the ladies that kept my space clean, to the team that helped deliver the twins, to the nurses that came to my rescue even at midnight when the twins were fussy, thank you is an understatement.

“The best part of all the care and support I received, was that it was genuine. You have heart and are called to do what you do.”
