VANDERBIJLPARK. A case of murder against four Bangladeshi nationals, has been postponed until 11 April. The accused are Mohammad Sehab, Mohammad Alamin, Mohammad Solayman and Fazlul Alam.
They briefly appeared for the third time at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s court on 30 March. The suspects, were denied bail and remanded back to custody. Friends and relatives of the deceased, gathered outside the court where the accused appeared for allegedly killing Razaul Amin Molla (30) last year in Bophelong. He was kidnaped in Mpumalanga Province.
This after the accused apparently demanded a ransom money of R2 million from his family in Bangladesh. Apparently the family could manage only R200 000 and this angered accused who allegedly tortured Molla before sending video footage of this back to his family in Bangladesh. After this, it is said that they took a blanket, poured it with petrol and wrapped it around Molla before setting it alight. The case has been postponed for further investigation.
