The end of an era for Jomo Cosmos?
Cosmos will always be remembered as one of the clubs in South African football history.

SEDIBENG.- Jomo Cosmos is like a terminally ill patient who is left with a few days to live but still optimistic about his chances of survival.
Cosmos recently came back to Sedibeng to play their games with a hope of surviving relegation, however, they are still stuck at the bottom of the GladAfrica Championship log with three games left. To make their lives more miserableCosmos lost 3-2 to TTM over the weekend. However, there is hope among soccer fans that Cosmos might survive relegation if they win all their three remaining games with a hope that TS Sporting and Pretoria Callies lose their games.
Cosmos is languishing at the bottom of the GladAfrica Championship with 21 points from 27 games. TSSporting and Pretoria are second and third on the log from the bottom respectively. However, as things stand, Cosmos will campaign in the ABC Motsepe League, unless otherwise. Cosmos will always be remembered as one of the clubs in South African football history.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, former Jomo Cosmos Captain, Avril Phali said he does not see Cosmos coming back if they are relegated to ABC Motsepe League.
“It will be the end of Cosmos’ legacy if they get relegated to the ABC Motsepe League. This is a team that was a feeder to the South African football. If you look there are Cosmos players all over the PSL to show how much the club produced players in South Africa. I know the ABC Motsepe League is not an easy league to play in because there are two streams before the actual promotion play-offs. It will be a great loss in South African football to be honest with you. It would be like a big tree has fallen,” said Phali.
