Child dies of suspected food poisoning
It remains a mystery what the children ate.

BOPHELONG.- One child died and at least four pupils from Mqiniswa Primary School in Bophelong are said to have mysteriously consumed something that resulted in them being admitted at the community clinic on Friday, 6 May.
The learners were mysteriously rushed to clinic after allegedly eating suspected poisoned food. A group of fearful parents arrived at the school to find out whether the alleged poisoned children were theirs. Others still reeling in shock, ran amok rushing to the clinic with their hands over their heads. They were all not clear on what transpired. The name of the deceased, was released as Sibonga Khumalo (8) from Extension 14 Bophelong. The question remained – what did they eat and where? Nobody can point any fingers right now.
“All that is known for sure is that all affected children are from different families and homes”, said one of the parents outside.
A parent, Elliot Dhlamini (54) from Muvhango Extension, said he received a messages while at work.
” I was told that eight children were rushed to hospital after they ate poisoned food. On how and what they ate is still a mystery”, said Dhlamini.
