Missing: Two student pilots may have been abducted from Vaal

Their vehicle was found abandoned along the R59 highway.

VEREENIGING. – There is great concern about two apprentice pilots who disappeared after leaving Vereeniging in their rented car.

The two men’s rented vehicle was found abandoned on the side of the R59 highway.

Muwmin Hitham Kamel Gaber (19) and Fadi Said Elhadi Mohamed Hamoud (31) are Egyptian citizens currently in South Africa to receive official training as pilots.

According to the law enforcement agency Make SA Safe’s Facebook page, the two men allegedly drove in their rented car from Vereeniging on Saturday, 14 May. The vehicle was later found abandoned along the R59 highway, but there was no sign of the men. They are feared to have been abducted.

Anyone with information about their disappearance, or motorists who may have seen the men along the road, are asked to contact 08600 10111.
