Arbitration case declares SAFA Sedibeng SAB league null and void
The SAFA Sedibeng SAB League for 2021/2022 was null and void. This was a ruling of the Arbitrator after Safa Sedibeng SAB League and Real Hearts FC headed to Arbitration over Provincial Play-offs.

SEDIBENG.- Real Heart took SAFA Sedibeng to court after the club was replaced with VUT FC to participate in the Provincial Play-offs.
Real Hearts FC were the overall winners of SAFA Sedibeng SAB League for the 2021/2022 season, only for them to be told that they would be unable to participate in the Provincial Play-offs because their players were not registered under MySafa because of administration challenges.
The ruling of Arbitration means that the 2021/2022 season is not recognised. This means Sedibeng will not have a representative in the Provincial Play-offs for promotion to ABC Motsepe League next season. Sedibeng Ster Sport is also aware that there will be no relegation and promotion based on the ruling as it declared the 2021/2022 season null and void.
As if this is not enough, SAFA Sedibeng has been ordered to pay all the legal costs. SAFA Sedibeng SAB League teams were fumming after they heard that the league was null and void. Some of the teams owners who spoke to Sedibeng Ster Sport said that for too long the SAB League has been ran like a ‘tuck shop’. The told Sedibeng Ster Sport that the ruling of the Arbitration has exposed SAFA Sedibeng maladministration.
“Look, for years the SAB League has been run illegally and unprofessionally. The ruling of the arbitration has exposed us as a region that we have been doing wrong things. We spent money on traveling and referees and now we are told that the league is null and void. What does this mean for our football if I may ask? Some of us saw this coming and when we raised such issues we were seen as negative people,” said the clubs owners who didn’t want their names mentioned.
