It never rains but pours for Safa Sedibeng!

It never pours but raining for Safa Sedibeng, otherwise known as “Suffer Sedibeng”, following the outcome of Arbitration to declare the SAB League null and void.

SEDIBENG.- The much publicised controversy between Real Hearts FC and Safa Sedibeng over the Play-offs has come to a sad end with Arbitration ordering the region to pay all the legal cost apart from declaring the SAB League null and void! It is for years now that Safa Sedibeng SAB League has been marred by controversy, season after season.

Safa Sedibeng is not strange to this, as it is administrators after administrators. The outcome of the Arbitration means there has never been a SAB League for the 20221/2022 season. In simple terms, the teams were just playing friendly matches the whole season. In fact, according to Arbitration, Safa Sedibeng SAB League for 2021/2022 was illegal with SAFA uniform rules never applied. As thing stand, Safa Sedibeng will not be represented at the Provincial Play-offs after this finding. VUT FC will no longer participate in the Play-offs after they replaced Real Hearts FC in this comedy of errors!

This is the problem when our football is run by the people who have no idea about football administration. They though they can run our football with their eyes closed but look now they have mess up big time. Sedibeng football is bleeding and going to the dogs unless something drastic is done to save our situation. For the past two years/seasons this region has not had a team that was promoted to the ABC Motsepe League. If we fail to produce a ABC Motsepe League team TOUCHLINE does not see this region producing a Motsepe Foundation League formerly GladAfrica Championships team.

Apart from producing players to the top flight football, as a region we have struggled to promote a team to the PSL since Vaal Professional was relegated from the top flight football. It has been more than 20 years now since that attempts have failed. The current football administrators from LFAs level to the regional level are a disaster to the development of football in this region. For example, the ruling of Arbitration is a clear indication that we don’t have administrators in this region. They are a big let off for the development of football in this region to say the list.

They have no shame!
