ORANGE FARM – The operation formed yet another weekly instalment of crime prevention in the province.
During the operation, police management from the Provincial office and Sedibeng Cluster together with several teams were briefed about the crime situation in Orange Farm area.
And the operation then started with tracing of wanted suspects on Wednesday night where more than 1000 people were arrested for offences including serious and violent crimes.
Following the tracing, the second phase of Okae Molao, which include roadblocks, resulted in the arrest of more than 30 suspects for crimes ranging from possession of drugs and undocumented persons.
Speaking to the Media, Makhura said they remain committed to clamping down on all criminal activities in the province and ensuring prosecution.
“The joint operation by law enforcement is focused on retrieving illegal firearms, stolen vehicles and finding wanted criminals,” he said.
