Motloung, a North-West University Vaal Student studying towards a degree in Psychology aspires to be one of the greatest women who young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds can look up to.
“I’m am so grateful for the wonderful experience I got from entering this pageant. This was my first big pageant and I was able to meet a lot of people. I was also able to build my character during the journey.
“I couldn’t have made it so far into the competition without the support of my family and friends. My passion, drive and persistence are the reasons why I made it” she says.
Speaking to Ster North, Motloung reveals that she always had a dream of entering pageants but could not do so because of her low self-confidence when she was younger.
“Finally, when I got to varsity I decided to rebrand and conquer things that I have always been afraid of doing, pageantry was just one of them.”
Motloung says she is currently using the title as a voice for the voiceless.
“I would like to urge young women to go out there and make their dreams a reality. “They must never make their situations doubt their ability. Their dreams are valid.”
Motloung who says she is braver than before continues to make a difference in her community by pursuing various charity projects that benefit the community.
