VANDERBIJLPARK.- With Mama Maria Radebe’s funeral taking place at Radebe’s home in CE4, Vanderbijlpark, the who’s who in politics are set to attend in numbers to pay their last respect to this mother of ANC Sedibeng Regional Treasurer, Johnny “Mkhonto Radebe.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesupi who visited the family on Wednesday afternoon to pay homage to Mama Radebe is among the top ANC members expected to attend the funeral alongside some of the high-profile ANC leadership from the provincial and national offices.

For years, Sedibeng (formerly Vaal Triangle) has been known as a politician’s playing ground with Nelson Mandela signing the country’s constitution here at George Thabe Stadium in Sharpeville in 1996.

Mama Radebe passed away at Medi Clinic in Vereeniging on 10 March and she will be laid to rest at Unitas Park Cemetery tomorrow, Saturday. The service will be held at home from 8:00 – 11:000.
