EVATON.- The Evaton Police are investigating a case of murder after the body of a man was found floating in the middle of a stream in Evaton on Sunday afternoon.

It is said that at about 19:00, the Evaton police received a complaint of murder at Kings Road in Evaton. Upon their arrival, they found the body of an unknown man floating in the middle of the stream.

“The body was having head injuries and was swollen, he was also facing upwards with his hands tied. He was declared dead by the EMS services,” said Police Spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi who added that the motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.

“The police are appealing for the community to come forward with the information that will assist in the investigation or call the number 086001011. The deceased body was already decomposing and he was wearing blue jeans and a grey shirt.”
