Lawrence Khekhe spreads love and support through charity roadshow

"We don't give because we have much, but we give because we know how it feels to have nothing," Lawrence Khekhe on his roadshow.

SEDIBENG – Philanthropist, Lawrence Khekhe recently organized a charity roadshow to celebrate his birthday.

But this was done in the spirit of giving, as the Evaton-born man shared love with those in need.

The event, which included two vital programs – “New Beginnings: A Gift of Love” and “Restoring Leaner Dignity” – aimed to make a meaningful impact on the lives of newborns and underprivileged school children.

Visiting different hospitals and schools, Khekhe’s roadshow featured the presentation of special gift packages to each newborn, filled with essentials and keepsakes.

In addition to the gifts, valuable parenting resources and information were shared, creating a nurturing environment for new parents and their families.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Khekhe said “This initiative sought to foster a sense of community and support among families with newborns, celebrating the joy of new life,” he said.

Khekhe emphasized the importance of community involvement in combating poverty, saying, “We don’t give because we have much, but we give because we know how it feels to have nothing.”

The Charity Roadshow was made possible through partnerships with organizations such as the Etelang Pele Community Project Zone 11, the Healing Hands Organization from Zone 12 Sebokeng, as well as the Lawrence Khekhe Educational Foundation, Eyethu National Computer College, and Eyethu Printing.
