Oritonda Mabaso (6) has won the title of Miss Global Princess South Africa 2026 mini. Mabaso’s modelling journey officially began in 2025, and since then, the little star has been making waves in the modelling industry.

Oritonda won in the categories of spokes model, philanthropy, photoshoot and social media. Her accolades include Model of the Year (Little Category) at the Ace Models National Conference in 2025. The De Deur Primary School learner turned heads earlier this year when she walked the runway at the inaugural South African Kids Fashion Week.

Mabasa’s journey is proof that dedication, passion and hard work can get one far ahead of their competitors. Her mom, Bridgette Mavhunga, says Oritonda’s journey has been nothing short of amazing.

“These competitions have also awakened her love to give back to the community; she is definitely becoming a young philanthropist.”

“On August 9, Oritonda, for the second time, represented five designers, including Sira by Sharika, Soap box, Xilaarte, Mariska and Rich factory, at the South African Kids Fashion Week.”

Talking about plans in the pipeline for Oritonda, Mavhunga states that they are excited to see her go onto world stages to represent South Africa.
