Tsoaranang Primary School recently commemorated a significant milestone as it celebrated its 30th anniversary on October 21, 2023.
The event was a momentous occasion, attended by scores of dignitaries, esteemed educators, and enthusiastic pupils, all joining together to honour the remarkable journey of the school.
Established on January 20, 1993, Tsoaranang Primary School has been a stronghold of learning and growth in the community for three decades.
The anniversary celebration was marked by heartfelt speeches delivered by various individuals, including the Director, former principal, current principal, a former pupil, and a current pupil.
The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by the enthusiastic participation of the pupils in a diverse range of activities, including captivating performances in Marimba, field band, dance, and singing.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, a symbol of the enduring legacy of Tsoaranang Primary School.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Carol Metsing expressed her delight, stating: “The event surpassed all our expectations, and the weather was on our side. Parents, guests, and our pupils turned out in large numbers, and the students’ performances were truly outstanding.”
Metsing also commended the exemplary teamwork displayed by the dedicated staff members, emphasizing that their collective efforts were instrumental in ensuring the success of the event.
She remarked: “The commitment and collaboration of everyone involved were pivotal in making this celebration a resounding success. It was truly a team effort.”
The school extended its gratitude to the Department of Education, Sedibeng East District Director, Pheello Metsing, Cluster Leader Boijane Matsobane, DCES Senior Phase Andile Jaxa, Second former Principal Mirriam Sofe, and District Office Dominic Lehobo for gracing the occasion with their presence. Additionally, special recognition was accorded to esteemed veterans Granny Nthongoa, Bibi Mofokeng, and Sejake Nthoroane for their unwavering support and dedication to the school.
