New fleet to enhance service delivery in Midvaal

In a statement, MLM said the fleet was procured through the capital budget at a cost of R3.7 million.

MEYERTON. – Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) Mayor, Peter Teixeira together with MMC for Community Services Thembi Modiba today welcomed a new fleet of ten tractors and four advanced slashers.

In a statement, MLM said the fleet was procured through the capital budget at a cost of R3.7 million.

“These new additions will bolster our existing fleet, bringing the total number of tractors to 28. The recent surge in rainfall has led to rapid grass growth causing a backlog in various areas.”

MLM states that the introduction of this new fleet will play a pivotal role in addressing any backlog in grass-cutting across Midvaal.

“This procurement is also aimed at enhancing our capabilities by adding to our grass-cutting cycle, a crucial aspect of municipal maintenance. As a municipality, we remain unwavering in our commitment to delivering service excellence.

‘This investment reaffirms our dedication to maintaining the pristine appearance of our community, ensuring a well-kept and pleasing environment for all residents.”
