"They were guiding the pupils about crimes such as sexual offences, cyber-crime and other crimes that usually affect children in schools.”

EVATON. – The members of the Evaton Police want the schools in their vicinity to become safe.

They proved this when they visited Tlholo Primary School in Evaton to engage with learners about bullying, stealing, substance abuse and sexual offenses on July 24. A total of 300 learners were reached during this visit. Several members of the Social Development Department, People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA), Lesedi la Batjha and Crime Prevention Wardens (CPW) were part of the team that visited the school.

Police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said: “They were all raising awareness through education and they were guiding the pupils about crimes such as sexual offences, cyber-crime and other crimes that usually affect children in schools.”
