Ramathe goes international

“I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement. Representing South Africa on the international stage is an honour and I'm committed to making a positive impact," said Ramathe.

SEDIBENG – She has won many pageants in her country, from Influential Women of the Year to international crowns.

The talented and charismatic beauty queen from Vereeniging Karabo Ramathe was crowned Miss Rise and Shine World South Africa 2024 earlier this month.

Competing among 10 of Mzansi’s prolific contestants for the number one spot on this international stage, Ramathe has come out tops and will represent the country early next year.

The happy young model and philanthropist said securing the prestigious title means going abroad to compete with fellow contestants coming from 25 different countries.

In a historic online grand finale streamed on YouTube, Ramathe impressed the judges with her stunning looks, captivating stage presence, and passionate advocacy.

Although the official crowning ceremony will take place next year in Australia, preceding the international event, Ramathe’s title win was announced alongside winners from other countries.

Speaking to Ster, Ramathe shared her jubilation following her desired selection.

“I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement. Representing South Africa on the international stage is an honour and I’m committed to making a positive impact. I have always wanted to be recognised in the modelling industry, however, this was a surprise,” she said.

Touching on the reasons for entering the pageant, Ramathe said: “I entered the Miss RSW South Africa pageant to reignite my passion for modelling and pursue a full-time career in the industry. After taking a break from modelling, I felt compelled to return to the stage and showcase my growth, confidence, and dedication.”

Ster ran an article on Ramathe last year when she won one of her many awards and pageants.

The 25-year-old shared her story of how she wants to bring change and hope to children in her community [Vaal Region].

At a remarkably young age of just 13, Ramathe brought about change to young and old.

Inspired by her upbringing and a desire to create a better future for those around her, she founded the “Kaylisha M African Modelling” company.

As one of the ways to make her dream come true, Ramathe shared the story of how she started an organisation that helped many youngsters reclaim their lives and give them meaning.

One of the projects close to her heart is doing philanthropist duties by donating to the less fortunate.
