VEREENIGING – Seasoned radio Journalist Oupa Sefatsa has garnered another award. This time, Sefatsa was honoured by the Sedibeng District Commissioner, Major General Nkhensani Lemba, at the recent Sedibeng District SAPS Excellence Awards.
The awards gave recognition to members of the SAPS as well as stakeholders who made a difference in the community.
Talking about his award, Sefatsa said it serves as a testament to the hard work that goes into telling stories in a way that touches people’s hearts. Sefatsa was among the media members who were given recognition for telling stories that had a positive impact on their community.
“It is an honour to have been recognised for the work that I do. This award gives me the courage and strength I need to do more. I am truly grateful for it.”
Sefatsa is becoming one of the journalists who is set on changing the landscape of news reporting in the Vaal Triangle. He is known as someone who is always on the scene and delivers news as it happens.
Earlier this year, Sefatsa won a PanSALB Multilingualism Award. The awards are held annually. The PanSALB Multilingualism Awards were established in 2002 to recognise individuals and organisations that have made exceptional contributions to preserve and promote all official languages in South Africa.
