Mayor Peter Teixeira, on behalf of Midvaal Local Municipality, congratulated the class of 2024 on their achievement of a pass rate of 87.3%.
Teixeira says the accomplishment is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and dedication the matric class of 2024 demonstrated throughout their studies.
“We also celebrate Gauteng’s impressive pass rate of 88.4%, securing third place nationwide. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Hoërskool DR Malan and Destinata School for achieving an exceptional 100% pass rate.
“For many, this achievement begins an exciting new chapter as they pursue higher education qualifications, vocational training, or other opportunities. May this milestone serve as a foundation for even greater success in the future.”
Speaking to those pursuing higher qualifications, Teixeira revealed that the municipality is pleased to announce that applications for the Mayoral Student Financial Aid are now open.
“We encourage all full-time learners in public institutions to apply for this study assistance program.”
“To the learners who did not achieve the results they were hoping for, this is not the end of your journey. We urge them to remain steadfast and to try again. The road to success is not always a straight path. Once again, congratulations to the Matric Class of 2024, and may you have a future filled with success and many opportunities.”
