VANDERBIJLPARK – Popular night club, Boom Shake does more than shake the dance floor.

The Vanderbijlpark-based nightlife establishment is shaking up desperate student’s lives.

This comes after Boom Shake unexpectedly stepped up, offering much-needed financial assistance to struggling students and pupils struggling with 2025 academic year registration fees.

Speaking to Ster, Club Manager, Mandla ‘Scottish’ Mthimkhulu said their concept is driven by the spirit of giving back to the communities that support their club.

“Our club is always filled by the very students who in these tough times will be struggling with registration. We have decided on a certain amount of money, which will assist four or five desperate students to continue their studies this year,” he said.

According to Scottish, they have raised an impressive amount of plus-minus, R6 000 to help students either accepted or returning to several institutions based in the Vaal such as Vaal University of Technology (VUT) or North-West University (NWU).

“We will add the money if the number of students we want to help does not fit in the Randelas we’ve set aside. All we want to do is show gratitude to the same students who are always shaking the floor in our establishment because education changes lives,” he added.

Interested students can apply by submitting proof of acceptance letter and a short motivation explaining your financial need and why you think you deserve the help.
