Help needed to find missing girl

Maxambela states that the family is deeply concerned for her safety and urges anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to come forward.

The SAPS has launched a missing person’s case docket following the disappearance of 14-year-old Samkelisiwe Mashinini on February 14. Police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela states that the teenager was reported missing by her mom, Lindiwe.

“We are now seeking the public’s assistance in locating the missing girl. She was last seen returning home from a doctor’s appointment at about 16:00. The family later discovered that Samkelisiwe was not at home and reported her missing.”

Maxambela states that the family is deeply concerned for her safety and urges anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to come forward.

“We appeal to the community to report any sightings or information that may assist in locating Samkelisiwe.”

Maxambela states that any detail, no matter how big or small, can assist police in their investigation. Samkelisiwe is 1.5m tall with brown eyes and black hair.
