Wanted murder suspect kidnapped and killed

Boipatong police where following on a lead on a wanted murder suspect, only to find him killed in cold blood in Khuma.

BOIPATONG – He was wanted by the Boipatong Police for the brutal murder of David Tlali in August 2024.

Now the man accused of killing Tlali in cold blood following a botched hijacking was found murdered after he was kidnapped by suspected hitmen in Khuma, North West.

On August 12, 2024, Tlali was gunned down while opening his gate at his family home in Phase 5.

His lifeless body was discovered at his gate by a passerby in the early hours of the fateful morning, while his car was left abandoned on the scene.

According to Boipatong Police spokesperson Constable Selinah Mthimkulu, their officers learned of the news when they followed up on a tip-off about the wanted suspect.

“Detective Warrant Officer Moss Mogajane and Detective Sergeant Makautu Radebe received information on September 22 from a reliable source about a suspect in a case they are investigating. The detectives followed up on the information and later joined Khuma and Orkney detectives,” she said.

Mthimkulu said the wanted Lesotho national, Fose ‘General’ Tseko, was discovered dead with a gunshot wound in Orkney mines.

“Upon investigation, the body discovered in the open veld was confirmed to be that of Tseko, who is said to be the man who pulled the trigger on Tlali,” she explained.

In a shocking turn of events, Tlali’s wife, Nthabiseng, and her co-accused, Lineo Raditsela, were also arrested and subsequently charged with the murder of Tlali.

Speaking to Ster, the sister of the deceased, Malefu Tlali, weighed in on the murder of the wanted suspect.

“We are still struggling to come to terms with our brother’s demise. However, we will overcome this headache. We miss him, and it’s been tough for us to accept what happened to him,” she said.

“This may not have been the justice we sought, but we are happy that our brother’s killer was found, even though he was found dead and dodged the might of the law,” she added.

Malefu thanked the police for meticulously working on the case.

“We hope the same effort they applied for us and made sure we are kept up to speed on the case, would also be extended to other families facing the same fate,” she concluded.
