Unmasking Thy Heart: Women inspired to heal and rebuild”

Beneath the glamour and masks, the purpose of the event was about ‘Unmasking Thy Heart’ -encouraging women to be honest with themselves, release emotional barriers, and embrace vulnerability.

VANDERBIJLPAR K – Certified Event Practitioner (CEP) Yolanda Letsatsi has carried out a successful 4th installation of her annual event dubbed ‘Women’s Healing Table’ at the Emerald Resort and Casino on October 25. This year’s theme was “Masquerade Ball,” which allowed the creation of an elegant atmosphere full of mystery and sophistication.

Speaking to Ster North, Letsatsi explained that her vision for the event is to create a sacred and safe space. She aims to bring women together, allowing them to reflect, release, and rebuild without fear or reservation.

“The event was born out of my own healing journey. I realised how powerful it is when women have a space to simply be, to speak their truth without judgment, and to feel seen and heard. I wanted to offer what I once needed: a space where women could find renewal, connection, and purpose through shared stories and divine conversations.”

Beneath the glamour and masks, the purpose of the event was about ‘Unmasking Thy Heart’ -encouraging women to be honest with themselves, release emotional barriers, and embrace vulnerability.

Letsatsi highlights that the event creates a space where women can gather, unmask, and nourish their hearts.

“Healing happens when women come together, share their stories, and support each other in truth and love. This year, the Masquerade Ball theme beautifully highlighted the contrast between the external masks we wear and the internal work of unmasking and embracing our authentic selves.”

According to Letsatsi, one of the most powerful moments was seeing women allowing their vulnerability to shine through. Sharing deep, honest stories and connecting on a profound level.

“This year, we wanted to center voices that reflect the courage of vulnerability and the beauty of emotional honesty, aligning perfectly with the ‘Unmask Thy Heart’ theme.”

A deeply emotional moment was witnessed by the audience when cancer survivor and leg amputee Relebohile Msiza shared her journey of survival. Her testimony was a living reflection of strength, faith, and grace. Her story embodied what ‘Unmasking Thy Heart’ truly means: choosing authenticity, love, and hope over pain and fear.

The event included a segment dubbed “Ask a Man,” which provided a platform for women to hear men’s perspectives on various issues.

Explaining the importance of the segment, Letsatsi states that many of the issues faced by women are often connected to how men and women relate to one another.

“By creating space for men to speak openly, we invited dialogue, not division. It helped bridge gaps, challenge stereotypes, and promote empathy on both sides.”

The event fostered a spirit of womanhood, healing, and vulnerability. It created a platform where women can speak openly about their journeys without being judged.

Letsatsi hopes that the event becomes a movement that inspires women to keep healing, keep growing, and keep showing up for themselves and one another.
