HEILBRON – Police in Heilbron have launched a manhunt for a suspect who escaped from custody in the early hours of April 10. The unidentified man had been arrested following a burglary at a local farm and was transported to the Heilbron Police Station.
According to Fezile Dabi Police spokesperson Sergeant Josephine Rani, the man managed to flee on foot into nearby bushes. Officers immediately started a search operation in the area, but the suspect remains at large.
Rani warned the public not to approach the suspect, as he may be dangerous. Instead, anyone who has seen a suspicious person or has information about where he might be hiding is urged to contact the authorities immediately.
Police are currently following up on all leads and have a photograph of the suspect available to assist with his identification.
