SEDIBENG.- It will be down to memory lane when PSL Legends play against Vaal Legends in an exhibition match at the Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark tomorrow, Saturday.

Both teams consist of most of former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs players.

This exhibition match comes a day before the much anticipated Soweto Derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer at FNB Stadium on Sunday. This game will see the reunion of former teammates, friends and colleagues.

For example, the PSL team consists of of Lucky Lekgwathi (Orlando Pirates), Jerry Sikosana (Orlando Pirates), Morgan Gould (Kaizer Chiefs), Lebohang ‘Cheeseboy’ Mokoena (Orlando Pirates), Cyril Nzama (Kaizer Chiefs), Thuso Phala (Kaizer Chiefs), Mpho Makola (Orlando Pirates), David Radebe (Kaizer Chiefs), Sifiso Myeni (Orlando Pirates), Dikgang Mabalane) and Clifford Ngobeni (Orlando Pirates) to mention but a few.

The Vaal Legends also selected the majority of players from the two South African football giants, Pirates and Chiefs such as Avril Phali (Jomo Cosmos), Sailor Tshabalala (Orlando Pirates), Phiri Tsotetsi (Orlando Pirates), Thabang Rooi (Kaizer Chiefs), Lucky Mhlathe (Jomo Cosmos), Bonakele Twala (Golden Arrows), Augustine Makalakalane (Bafana Bafana/Jomo Cosmos), Steve Lekoelea (Orlando Pirates), Abia Nale (Kaizer Chiefs), Peter Khoabane (SuperSport United), Joseph ‘China’ Masondo (Orlando Pirates), Solly Nketle (Vaal Professionals), Solly Mathe (Orlando Pirates) and Nhlanhla Zothwane (Golden Arrows) among other selected Vaal Legends.

Avril Phali urgued soccer fans to come in numbers to watch these former greats who once dominated the Soweto Derby. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that it will be a great game prior to the Soweto Derby to watch.
