VANDERBIJLPARK – A desperate search is underway for a 13-year-old Vanderbijlpark boy who vanished without a trace after allegedly leaving home without saying a word to his adoptive mother.
Police in Vanderbijlpark have now issued an urgent appeal to the public to assist in locating Tshepo Moletsane (13), who was last seen on June 9.
According to Vanderbijlpark police spokesperson, Sergeant Sabelo Sigcu, the teenager was reported missing after he allegedly left home on the day in question and never returned.
“The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are currently under investigation,” Sigcu said.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen young Moletsane or who may have information regarding his whereabouts to come forward immediately.

Meanwhile, the Gauteng Department of Community Safety (GDCS), together with the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE), has called on parents, guardians and caregivers to prioritise the safety and well-being of children.
Public schools across Gauteng closed on June 26 and will reopen on July 21, a period during which many children spend more time outdoors, travel, visit relatives, or participate in recreational activities.
The two departments have urged parents and caregivers to remain vigilant and take practical steps to ensure children remain safe throughout the school holiday period.
Authorities continue to appeal to communities to report missing children immediately and to remain alert for any signs that could assist police investigations.
