Peacehaven man has been missing for two months

Nzemene Phillemon Dlomo (61) has been missing since July 25.

VEREENIGING – The family of Peacehaven resident Nzemene Phillemon Dlomo (61) is living in anguish following his mysterious disappearance on July 25.

His relatives, Sibongile Dlomo and Motlalepula Mofokeng, are very concerned about his safety as each passing day brings more questions about what happened. Earlier in the year, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, and he also experiences memory loss.

Before he went missing, Nzemene was last seen at his home in Peacehaven by his landlord while two neighbours were helping him reconnect the lights.

Police spokesperson Constable Relebohile Mohapeloa confirms that a missing person’s case was launched in July and investigations are ongoing. “Nzemene’s brother became concerned when he could not reach him telephonically,” she explained.

Since then, the family has searched local hospitals and a mortuary without any luck. At the time of his disappearance, Nzemene was wearing a light blue cap, black jeans, a black jersey, and light blue tekkies. The family and the police are appealing to anyone with information to help ensure his safe return.

If you have seen Nzemene or can assist with the investigation, contact the Vereeniging SAPS on 082 558 2348, 016 450 2044, or 016 450 2043, or the investigating officer, Sergeant Mohlamme, on 078 848 8381.
