Replacement transformer delivered at Three Rivers Substation.
In a statement on Sunday Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) said the replacement power transformer was successfully delivered at Three Rivers Substation.
“Technicians have started assembling the transformer and preliminary tests will follow soon after.”
The other team is finalizing work on protection panels to prepare the system for energizing.”
Provided that all preliminary tests go accordingly, the transformer will be energized and allowed to run without load for a few hours.
Gradual switching will then commence later today.
