Club rolls sleeves for community

“We extend our gratitude to all the masters’ soccer teams who responded to our invitation to participate in this charity tournament."

VANDERBIJLPARK.- The Brotherhood Club once again demonstrated its commitment to community welfare by hosting a masters soccer tournament for charity purposes.

The event took place at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark on Saturday, where local masters’ soccer teams competed against each other, all in aid of charity. Participating teams contributed school shoes to be donated to local schools, particularly those in the poorest communities of Sedibeng.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Amos Koadibane stated that the Brotherhood Club has been actively involved in community charity for the past five years. He emphasised the importance of raising awareness about the serious needs of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“We extend our gratitude to all the masters’ soccer teams who responded to our invitation to participate in this charity tournament. We also express our appreciation to the sponsors whose contributions ensured the success of this charitable endeavour. Over the years, we have made it our mission to reach as many schools as possible in Sedibeng,” Koadibane remarked.

“We urge the community to join us in our efforts to attract more schools to donate. Following this tournament, our committee will convene to decide which schools will receive these much-needed school shoes. We are pleased with the turnout and support shown by the community for this initiative,” he added.

On behalf of the Brotherhood Club, Koadibane extended heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the success of the project, reaffirming their commitment to assisting those in need within the community. The Brotherhood Club’s initiative exemplifies the spirit of solidarity and compassion, underscoring the importance of collective action in addressing societal challenges.
