ELM to become a municipality of choice?
"As a municipality, we are excited that the Inter-change has reached a near-completion stage, and that the development of the Vaal River City remains on planned course."

SEDIBENG. – The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) has said that it is excited that the K174 Interchange Inter-change has reached a near-completion stage, and that the development of the Vaal River City remains on planned course.
The municipality said that as part of unlocking the long-awaited Vaal River City, the K174 Interchange is making a huge progress thus giving confidence to all investors who made pledges to bring desired investments in the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) and Sedibeng region as a whole.
“The construction progress observed on the R42 is a clear indication of unwavering commitment to unlock investment opportunities and economic growth by the Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG). As a municipality, we are excited that the Inter-change has reached a near-completion stage, and that the development of the Vaal River City remains on planned course. The key plan is to ensure that Emfuleni is recognized as a notable Special Economic Zone (SEZ),” the ELM said.
The R42 near Bedworthpark is partially closed due to construction work currently underway.
“The fact that road users have been negatively affected has not gone unnoticed by the municipality. Affected motorists are requested to exercise patience when driving past the construction site or use alternative roads to get to their various destinations.”
